Lower Clopton Farm Shop and Pick your own Pumpkins

I’ll tell you a strange little story about how I found out about this delightful little place. Earlier in the year, I was admitted to hospital for a nasty infection and a gallbladder removal, and whilst I was there I met a lovely lady who was also under the weather, shall I say. We got talking and she said that she was a chef at the Lower Clopton Farm Shop. She told me about all the events they hold during the year and in particular their yearly Pick your own Pumpkin week for Halloween. Despite being dosed up to my eyeballs on morphine, I wrote down the place and remembered for 5…

    The Garrick Stratford-upon-Avon

If you’re heading to Stratford-upon-Avon for a day out and are looking for a bite to eat then I can thoroughly recommend The Garrick on High St. The first time we set eyes on this pub was about 6 years ago and we always promised that one day we’d go for a meal there. Fast forward to this week and we decided to finally make the trip and fulfil the promise we made. We were not disappointed. If you have any ideas of places to visit in Coventry and Warwickshire, please let me know on Facebook or in the comments below.

Dobbies is a tough act to follow with their fabulous food and all the fancy products on the shelves (think Yankee Candles and Radley bags). But the closest one to Leamington Spa is in Atherstone which is just too far to “pop” to. So recently we went to the Wyevale at Stratford-upon-Avon to see what they had to offer and we were so impressed! If you have any ideas of places to visit in Coventry and…

  • Côte Brasserie Leamington Spa review

Last weekend we got to have the first proper date night we’ve had in ages, my mum kindly came over to babysit and we went for dinner and to the Spa Centre theatre to see our favourite comedian Joe Lycett (who was amazing by the way, I’d definitely recommend him). Normally when we go out we just go to where ever we have a voucher code, that’s usually Pizza Express! This time we pushed the boat out and went to Côte Brasserie in Leamington Spa and, honestly, it was the best meal we’ve had in a long time!  If you have any ideas of places to visit in Coventry and…
